The show’s new schedule will now play as follows: Monday at 8pm, Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday at 2pm and 8pm, no performances Thursdays and a standard weekend schedule. Reasons to be Pretty is now running at the Lyceum Theatre, having opened to critical acclaim at the venue on April 2, directed by Terry Kinney.
The third play in LaBute’s trilogy of works on the country’s obsession with beauty, Reasons to Be Pretty follows a tightknit circle of factory workers as Greg Thomas Sadoski is thrown into turmoil when his off-hand remarks about a female co-worker's pretty face and his girlfriend's lack thereof get back to said girlfriend Marin Ireland. When Greg's best buddy Kent Steven Pasquale and Kent's wife, Carly Piper Perabo, also enter into the picture, the emotional equation becomes exponentially more complicated.
